I coached soccer during one of my husband’s deployments. It was so nice to have something to focus on, because when you are working with kids, you can’t be sad!

I never know what to say when someone thanks me, my husband is the one that volunteered for this life. I married into it. I knew what I was getting into, but I also knew he is worth all those long days and nights! Thank you for your kind words and prayers.

The volunteer one is so my favorite one you’ve talked about! By giving back to others it helps keep you off your own fears/problems! Plus you never know it might bring out a new passion out in you.

Just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have family in the military, also. But I have never been where you are. I have never walked in your shoes. Thank you. I know that seems so little and so empty, but there are no words to tell you how grateful I am to women like you. Not only is your husband laying down his life for mine, so are you and your children. Please know that you are daily in my prayers. Again, Thank You for sacrifice.
