Red, White and Booze

With the 4th of July this weekend why not enjoy this yummy Red, White and Booze cocktail!

Red White and Booze

This cocktail is both fun and festive. Made with red and blue frozen berries, grenadine, white grape juice and vodka it covers all of the patriotic colors!

This 4th of July since we have a little one we plan on enjoying fireworks from home with friends. We are lucky and at our current duty station the neighborhood we live in sets off their own firework show this weekend. Since we are having a party that will be starting later in the day I wanted to come up with a festive cocktail to share with our friends. Since we are going to be outside and its hot where we live I wanted to come up with a drink that would stay cold even if it takes me forever to finish it. So I created my red, white and booze!

First you want to serve this is whatever glass works best for you and your party. I love the way it looks in my pretty martini glasses, but knowing my friends (and husband) I will probably serve this in plastic cups this weekend. My dear husband has been on a mission these last couple of weeks. I said I wanted to simplify our life, my husband took that as a free pass to break our dishes on a whim. He claims he sin’t doing it on purpose, and yet we are down 2 plates, 1 frame, 2 glasses, 1 champagne glass, and a decorative vase. I still love him!

To create this cocktail you want to start by placing your frozen berries in the glass.

In a separate shaker shake the vodka, grape juice and grenadine. Then strain over frozen berries and enjoy!
