My Extra Pepperminty Dark Chocolate Bark
Extra pepperminty dark chocolate bark is the perfect combination of bitter and sweet. It is super easy to make and is highly addictive!
You might be wondering what makes it extra pepperminty….its’ the fact that my recipe calls for both candy cane dust and peppermint extract. When making extra pepperminty dark chocolate bark it is extremely important to ground the candy canes in the food processor until they become almost dust like. By breaking down the candy canes it makes it easy to enjoy without getting candy cane chunks stuck in your teeth!
- 2 Cups Dark Chocolate Chips (1 Bag)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Peppermint Extract
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 3 Peppermint Candy Canes
- In a microwave safe bowl add dark chocolate chips, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract.
- Microwave for 30 seconds at a time until chocolate is all melted, stirring after each 30 seconds.
- Once melted pour onto a baking sheet, and use spatula to spread evenly.
- In a food processor pulverize the three candy canes.
- Sprinkle candy cane dust over all of the chocolate.
- Refrigerate until hard.
- Break apart chocolate into desired sized chunks.
